- Between 2022 and 2025 I worked as a Sr. Professor in IRITM, as well as on OCCRP's own Aleph instance and its infrastructure.
- My most successful open source contribution of my own invention so far: untangle converts XML documents to Python objects.
- tiny-ci, a proof of concept CI based on git hooks. Here is the blog post describing it.
- passage, a password manager using age encryption, written in Rust.
- randoku, a random number generator API & web app written in Rust.

Dr. Ashish Agrawal has been working as Senior Professor/ Electrical Technology and Energy Management since Feb, 2025. He is an Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer from 1997 batch. He holds a comprehensive educational portfolio including a Bachelor of Engineering from Gorakhpur, Master’s in Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). His professional development includes Advanced Management Programs at prestigious international institutions ICLIF Malaysia and INSEAD Singapore, along with a number of specialized courses at the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR), Vadodara & other CTIs.
He has over three decades of diversified railway field experience, having successfully headed locomotive maintenance and train operations across multiple divisions including Prayagraj, Ambala, and Jhansi for six years. His technical expertise encompasses electrical construction planning, traction distribution maintenance, and power supply supervision spanning ten years across various divisions. Notable leadership roles include heading R&D and Vendor Development for TPS units at RDSO Lucknow, managing Personnel Department as Chief Personnel Officer, and overseeing Public Relations, Publication, and Library units. His research contributions include publications on Indian Railways critical analysis, staff councils, and automatic phase switching sections, while his achievements feature innovative cost-saving solutions, green energy initiatives, and exceptional safety records with accident-free operations despite significant staff deficits.
